Savina proudly adds a new jam to the already established range of jams consisting of Sun-Ripened Fig Conserve, Zesty Orange Marmalade and Succulent Mulberry Preserve. The new Prickly Pear Jam, also named ‘Bajtrija’, is a delicious jam made from prickly pears and zesty lemon peel. The title ‘Bajtrija’ is derived from the Maltese word ‘bajtar’ which means prickly pear. The Prickly Pear is a fruit which can be found in most rural villages in Malta and Gozo and this because of the warm climate especially during the summer season. At Savina we proudly select the best ones, add quality melons and lemons to produce an irresistible jam.
