Centro Savina, the German franchise of Savina Creations from Gozo, celebrated its fourth anniversary on 21st May 2011. For the last four years Centro Savina in Eschborn, close to the city of Frankfurt, has become a known address for Maltese speciality items. It was exactly four years ago when John Magro announced in his speech at the opening that the setting up of Centro Savina in Germany was a dream come true as he always worked to establish a Maltese culinary brand that was able to successfully compete and sell in foreign markets.

Today , four years later, Savina products are sought after by an ever expanding clientele of Centro Savina. Savina products are as well a favourite for corporate gifts as the German outlet expanded into this highly competitive segment of the market. Centro Savina reports a high activity in corporate gifts not only during the traditional time of Christmas but as well in other months of the year too.

In celebrating the fourth anniversary of Centro Savina, H.E. Karl Xuereb, Ambassador of Malta in Germany and Mrs. Xuereb joined a group of distinguished guests that included the Lord Mayor of Eschborn Wilhelm Speckhardt and Mrs. Speckhardt, Mr. Gerhard Raiss, Curator of the Eschborn Museum plus other members of the Eschborn Town Council. Also present were representatives of AirMalta and the Malta Tourism Authority, whose offices are in Frankfurt. Attending the event were also regular Centro Savina clients and other business partners.

Maria Galea is the energy driving Centro Savina. At the event she thanked all her clientele without whose custom the Savina venture in Germany would not have been successful. She also gave a special mention and thanks to her colleagues at Savina in Gozo and in particular to John Magro, whose foresight and entrepreneurship gave birth to the Savina concept and brand.
