8 o'clock on Thursday morning, 19th of November 2009, John Magro was in early at the office, inspecting every nook and cranny, checking the staff, sampling the menu and going over the schedule for the day - as always leaving nothing to chance - and rightly so, for this day was another special day at Savina, the President of Malta was visiting!

On arrival at Xewkija, his Excellency Dr George Vella, was given a tour of the Savina Creativity Centre, where the Christmas spirit was already in full swing. Here, Mr. John Magro introduced his Excellency with the new products which Savina just launched; including the Christmas pudding, the Pure Gozo honey and the three Savina jams. He sampled some Savina fare and met with the resident craftsmen. After signing the company's guest book and an exchange of words, with his Excellency complimenting John on the way he runs his business, the entourage was treated to a Gozitan gourmet lunch with the entire Magro family.

All in all, another perfect day in the history of Savina.
