The firm ‘GIO. BATTA DELIA’ was founded in 1901, by Giovanni Battista Delia (1882-1973), hence it was with this abbreviated format of his actual name that he went through life.
Over these 107 years the Firm has moved on from primarily manufacturing furniture to specializing in the importation and retailing of the finest names in Chinaware and Crystal ware. The introduction and specialization of the wedding list played a very significant role in the success of the firm in the last 40 years or so, and the showrooms in Ferreria Palace on Republic Street, Valletta, are, as many visitors have described, an “Aladdin’s Cave” of  dinnerware and giftware. A must for the serious collector and for a gift for any occasion.

Today’s highly competitive market, especially with the massive influx of inferior quality and low prices has only strengthened the firm’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and service but to also introduce gifts and products which target the ever increasing number of tourists that visit our Island, hence the partnership with Savina and their exciting range of products.
