Salvatore Sbambelluri was born in Siderno in 1951. At the early age of 12 he starts to work as an apprentice at “Serroino”, an historic pastry shop in Siderno. At the age of 15 he moves to Genoa to work in the renowned “Capurro” pastry shop. In 1974 Salvatore and his brother Antonio, start a pastry shop in Genoa but in 1978 he decides to come back to his hometown, takes over a bakery and expands it into a pastry shop and ice cream parlor, where with love and passion, making use of the secrets of the pastry art learned in time, he creates sweet delicacies like panettoni, colombe, easter eggs, traditional Calabrian pastries and the “torrone” (nougat), the key element of the whole production.
